1.The intumescent coating paints are a passive fire protection measure that expands when heated (such as in a fire) to protect the underlying material (steel, gypsum board or wood) from fire.
2.Working principle:
The fireproof and heat-insulating principle of intumescent steel structure fire retardant coatings is that the fire retardant coating layer expands and foams when exposed to fire to form foam. The foam layer not only isolates oxygen, but also has good heat insulation properties due to its loose texture, which can delay the speed of heat transfer to the protected substrate. The process of the foam layer produced by the expansion and foaming of the coating presents an endothermic reaction due to the expansion of volume, and also consumes the heat during combustion, which is conducive to reducing the temperature of the system. These aspects of the effect make the fire retardant coating produce a significant fireproof and heat-insulating effect.
3.How to make the intumesent type fire retardant coating paint?
The production equipment for intumescent fire retardant coating includes the following equipment:
1). Feeding system:screw conveyor,vacuum feeder or Dust-free feeding station,etc.
2). Dispersion and mixing system
Depending on the processing volume per batch, the main dispersing equipment can choose ordinary high speed dissolver, single-axis dispersing tanks, double-axis dispersing tanks or even three-axis dispersing tanks.Some horizontal type ribbon mixer is also suitable for good mixing effect.
3). Filling and capping system
For small quantity processing,the user could just place a weigher to control the valve by hand to fill.
For big quantity processing,a filling machine and capping machine will be better.
