Water paint or solvent paint making line usually includes the followed production steps:
1. Raw material preparation: Prepare the corresponding powder and liquid raw materials according to the type of paint produced.
2. Dispersion: Add the prepared raw materials into the dispersing equipment and stir to ensure that the pigments and fillers are evenly dispersed. It needs the high speed dissolver and stainless steel tank to work.
3. Grinding: Use a vertical sand mill or a horizontal sand mill to grind the dispersed raw materials to the required fineness. The grinding process tears the pigment lumps and air bubbles out through shear force to form a color paste.
Notes:Some users might buy the pigment slurry.
4. Color matching: Mix the ground color paste with resin solution (or water-based acrylic emulsion), additives, etc., adjust the viscosity and color, and prepare the colored paint. This step needs the high speed dissolver and stainless steel tank too.
5. Inspection and filtration: Inspect the toned paint to ensure that its performance meets the requirements. Then filter to remove the unground pigment particles and impurities.
6. Filling and packaging: Fill the filtered paint according to regulations to complete the production process.
